Happy memories John. I remember when you could fly from Southend to Beauvais which suited me perfectly as Southend is on my doorstep and it also saved my friends driving to GDG to collect me. Southend was a lovely little airport as you could stand in the bar and watch your visitors walking across the tarmac then walk down to meet them.
