I had to do a search for this thread cos we are thinking of having this done when we go Goa.
Reading all the information Gramps and a few others have input, it certainly seems worthwhile.
chilly
Me and Doug had it done this year and were well impressed with all the various tests and how efficiently the place is run.... although it does have a sort of casualty type dept and there was that slightly chaotic (but in a remarkably organised way for India) air to the place. You have to take urine and stool samples with you and as chilly said stated fast from midnight. We were very impressed with it and have our print outs of all the various results from all the different departments. Doug paid extra for a prostate cancer test as his dad was treated (successfully) for this a few years ago, that was about 500 rupees on top of the 2900 for the comprehensive check. It took an extra few days to get the results but we had plenty of time. Well worth it.
Had to have an operation, but emailed home in February, and am already on the NHS waiting list.
