I am not sure what you mean by "time limits" on AI..we have stayed there a few times and it is not certainly something I have ever come across before. Do you mean say AI drinks but only up to midnight? If you mean that or something similar to that..then No..not to my knowledge unless it has been introduced this year ( we haven't been this year).
AI is AI and that is that to my knowledge. The actual bars by the pools don't open until 10.00am..but then again, the restaurant is open until 10.00am anyway. The Piano bar is open from 9.00am and usually serves coffee, tea etc as well as alcohol. The only restrictions in there is that you cannot go in just wearing your swimwear. ie: men must have a shirt on and females must be covered up.
The pool bars stay open until 6pm when the restaurant opens..and the restaurant stays open until about 10pm..but the main bar/club opens at 7pm and stays open until about 1am. If you want to stay up after that, the piano bar is open until late. We found that most people drift off say midnight 1am anyway. There is entertainment every night of the week but some of this is a little cheesy!
The pool bars serve snacks all day from 10.00am until 6pm..and at night, one of them becomes a more intimate romantic restaurant for couples. They get a complimentary candlelit meal in there once during their stay. You have your own personal waiter, a seperate menu to the main restaurant and they certainly make the atmosphere indusive to romance. You have to book this 24 hours in advance though with Manuel ( the restaurant manager).
I am sure you and your wife will enjoy this holiday. I am disappointed that circumstances meant we could not go there again this year..but next year is not that far away!
