Hi.
Im trying to book flights either from aberdeen or inverness to LGW for our holiday flights out of LGW in October.
Can anyone tell me who may fly these routes?
Easy jet do from Inverness but when i search our dates it says that the route is only available till the 24th October (we come back on the 27th).
BMI dont appear to do this route, nor do BA.
Flybe go from Inverness also But their web search says the same as easyjets.
I thought maybe this was just because the flights weren't on sale yet but it gives me search option dates right through till April 2010.
Any ideas anyone??
Thanks.
Katie.

Hi Katie, I "Googled" Aberdeen to Gatwick for October and you may like to have a look at the following link to idealo.co.uk. It seems that Flybe are the cheapest.

Flybe from Aberdeen and Easy from Inverness are only options currently (regretably).
Schedules tend to change around late October for scheduled operators as they come into the winter season but usually domestic flights stay to around the same times although in the current economic climate could be subject to change a little more than normal.
Depends what airport is closer to you. I would be tempted to wait out a bit for Easyjet site to start covering dates beyond 24 October. I have not checked but if other sites are showing Flybe fares beyond 24 October I suspect they may be very expensive if booked now. My humble suggestion would be to wait out a while and book later.

                Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replys!
Yes i will wait for a while until flights come on sale, i normally book about 6 months before we go as i find that is when they are cheapest and they get more expensive as time goes on. However we normally fly out on holiday from manchester so book with BMIbaby from Aberdeen.
Aberdeen and Inverness are both 50 miles from me, im right in the middle of them!
Thanks again.
Katie.

You will need to wait for the dates for a couple of months. I flew from Inv-LGW with Flybe last year and it was a great flight. Very roomy plane and very comfy leather seats, far superior to Easyjet.

                Blimey....... A couple of months??
If they dont release the flights for ages yet then they aren't leaving very long to sell the flights, after all October is just six months away!
Surely the flights must be released for sale sooner than that??

                Hi Fiona,
Obviously not a very popular route anymore. My relative used to fly from Aberdeen to Stansted, and then Abderdeen to London City, and both these routes were also stopped.
