I'm travelling from Newcastle- haven't booked it yet, hasn't come down a penny....... there are local holidays here w/c 26th Oct
Going to gamble and wait.
i booked last year in may for this year .2 weeks from 28th april for 2 people £1050 my friend booked a few weeks ago for the same holiday and it cost him £1760 to the hemera . i wont be paying inflated prices for the hemera for next year i will go somewhere else..
I think the problem is that UK customers are picking up the loss of revenue from the EU sections of Thomas Cook. Thomas Cook DE, the german site has had much lower prices.
Sounds about right, they are stitching us up by making us pay more for gas and electric, why not holidays as well.
I can just tell you about our experience. From the time we booked our Easter 09 holiday until the week before, the price had gone up nearly £250. If we were to book the same holiday in next year's brochure, it is more pp than what we paid for a couple. We're going to the Dom Rep in August, and on checking last night the price has gone up £300 pp since we booked last year . On Sunday we booked to go to Agadir next Easter. Within an hour of booking a couple of friends decided to join us and they had to pay £20pp more. By yesterday this had gone up to £50 each more. My advice, based purely on our experiences, if you find a holiday you want, and the price suits you - book it, as holiday prices are rocketing.
We booked last week for 28th september for 7 nights AI at the AKdeniz and only paid 656 pounds for the two of us 20kls luggage from Newcastle through Hays travel number through teletext just rang them up spoke to one of their home workers and asked what they had for the dates we wanted.Already booked 2 weeks mid june with them again AI for 1100 pounds this is the cheapest way to book up at good prices have done this for years now.
