Hello , we are going to Hotel Golden Donaire on june 2nd for a week and i want to buy a 4 or maybe 7 day pass for 3 of us , which would come to roughly £150 ish Hubby isnt too keen and is saying thats a lot of money for a theme park he doesnt want to spend the week in there which is understandable , but i think we should go for the flexibility to be able to go on any day or time , also the shows , entertainment etc , IF the entertainment is rubbish in the hotel at night , can we go to the park and watch the shows etc

and would anyone say its worth the £150 ish ?? ill show my husband the replies , thanks so much

first time in Spain , so all info helps :sun2

Hi I am heading off to Salou on the 3rd of May, this weekend! Just bought 2 Adult 4 day consecutive passes for £95 off of 365tickets.com

I thought this was a really good price, it was cheaper than off of the actual port aventura website. I have been twice before, on seperate holidays and both times I found it to be great, Children will love it and if you like this sort of thing buying the 4 day pass will be much more worth while as you want to get to go on everything and see everything. It also claims that the 4 day passes are cheaper than a 1 day pass bought at the park so why not get the 4 day pass?

Enjoy!! :D

For those who only want to go for one day they are usually vouchures for 2 entrances at the prize of one... Last 2 years where included with Nestle IceCreams so with 6 barcodes of nestle icecream u got 2x1 discount it's cheaper despite u don't want to eat these Ice creams... I don't know this summer wich vouchures will give us 2x1 discount as soon as I know I'll post it :)

John, was there last week and it opened at 10am. If at one of their hotels you could get in at 9 but the rides never started till 10. We avoided sat/sun but the rest of the week was hit and miss as there seemed to be Spanish schools day trips on a good few days. Afternoon was a lot quieter

its always opened at 10 what it changes is closing time (depending on dates)

Its on the PortAventura web page - Select PortAventura Park from the bar at the top and then Calendar. There is a link at the top of the page for opening times (PDF file)
At the moment only showing May - Mostly 7pm weekdays and 8pm weekend

hi there. I went to salou last year in july. with my wife and my two sons 10 and 7. I booked my tickets online through attractiontix. i think we payed about £180 for 14 days for the 4 of us. they send u an e.ticket and you print it out take it with you to portaventura and you exchange it for the 14 day passes. We usually went to the park late afternoon or in the evening which was alot cooler and wasnt to busy. You have to watch the fire works at 23.45 its a very good show. The only bad thing about it is if you have a child about 8 and under depending on height, they are very strict with some of the rides, saying the child isnt tall enough. Other than that its a great park and worth getting the 14 day pass even though you dont go every day.

thanks tel, the fireworks sound great i think we will go late evening after spending the day on the beach / pool , and will try and stay for the fireworks every night if we can , but do the buses still run back to the hotels late at night ?

plus , our son will be 12 tomorrow so he will be fine for the rides

yes the buses are there when the fireworks finish. One thing i would say is get your tickets for the buses before you go into the park there is a booth outside for the bus tickets, because it is very busy when the fireworks finish. If you go down to the fireworks about 23.30 you may get a good spot to see them, because it does get very busy at that time. One other thing is for 2 adults and 1 child aged 10 and under the price for tickets at attractiontix is £139 for a 7 day pass and £129 for a 4 day pass plus 50% of the price into the caribe water park which is next to portaventura. But there is a bigger and probably a better water park just outside salou.

for bus tickets, get one of the plastic top up cards. About 10 euros for 10 trips and can be used by multi passengers from the 1 card. Can be topped up at Tabacs and other places. Just hand to bus driver and he will scan it. 1 trip can be from salou to tarragona/cambrils or salou - port aventura
