Hi snoop ... I have merged your enquiry with this existing 3 page topic about the same hotel, which may provide you with some useful info. You can also read our reviews of the hotel by clicking http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/reviews/spain/canary-islands/tenerife/playa-de-las-americas/iberostar-torviscas-playa-hotel/

David :wave PS .. could I ask please that you avoid use of phone text style abbreviations (such as u instead of you) as it causes problems for our visually impaired members who rely on screen readers. Many thanks.

hi we returnrd last tuesday from torviscas playa nice hotel in great location rooms where nice and clean maids where very friendly as where hotel staff
the dining room was hetic and lots of people hovering over your shoulder as you where choosing your food got a bit repteritive second week as where the breakfasts the food was nice always very hot
the hotel is looking tired as the furniture in reception could do with replacing
the hotel entertainment in the day worked hard but we never stayed in to watch the shows at night
we would prefer apartments now as that is what we normally do but we had a change as it was my 50th birthday
hotels are to hetic and noisy for us in a morning
swimming pool very nice also very cold only went in a couple of times have to put your towels on early if you want a bed
good hotel but would rate it a 3 star and not a 4 star
oh and there is a free fridge in room and hair dryer in bathroom and loads of coat hangers in wardrobe

we are looking at booking this hotel for july but was wondering if any one knows of the 3rd bed situation in the rooms?my daughter will be 15 and is the size of an adult and a camp bed will be no good for hershe needs a proper single size bed.

My mum shared a room with my daughter and my niece (who is 5'10 although only 14). Niece was in the "third bed" and it was not a camp bed but a normal single. Have had experience of three beds in this hotel where the third has been a camp bed (which was ok when the kids were little) but they can provide a "normal" third bed for you if required. Didn't have to ask on this occasion - it was provided but would have asked if it hadn't been - camp bed would have been hopeless!!!!

We're due to visit this hotel for a week at the end of this month, on a half-board basis. Anybody out there been to this hotel can tell us if it's possible to swap dinner for lunch? We've been to hotels in the past where this is allowed, and there's such a good selection of bars and restaurants in the area that we don't want to eat at the hotel every night. Also any tips or things to watch out for at the hotel would be welcome. Thanks !!

I have stayed here at least 3 times in the past 5 years. Each time it has been on a half board basis. Never noticed them ever to do lunches.

The road outside the front of the hotel has been replaced. It is now a one way system with good walk ways on either side. Also plenty of seating too. It is a lot quieter than it used to be. I have had a room facing the road and never hear a lot of noise in the eveining and night.

we have stayed in this hotel twice and loved it, would definately recommend it and yes you can swap dinner for lunch at no charge. We too stayed at the front of the hotel but was never bothered by any noise.
