Can anyone help as I am very upset about the parking charges we have just been issued with. We parked at Robin Hood on site parking, we pre paid with Holiday Extras. On our return we had a parking charge notice attatched to our car. It states that we were parked in the car hire section and we must pay this with in 42 days or be taken to court. The area we parked in was part of the airport parking and we didn`t see any signs stating this.

The company issueing it are Passenge Transport Solutions, has anyone heard of them. I have a chance to appeal but it must be within 7 days but I still have to pay or they won`t consider it.

Is this common at airports, I thought that we would have to go through a seperate barrier to go on to someone elses land. I am also annoyed as the signs to the parking from the airport appoach road were telling you to enter the car park at the barrier nearest to the area we parked in.
