Disabled Person Holiday Discussions

Are you disabled or know someone who is? What are your experiences of hotels and resorts as a disabled person?

Yes, but it may be scanned at security.

They usually take it from you before you go through the scanner, scan it on its own and then hand it back to you to bring through. Otherwise no problems.

Might be an idea to ask for a wheelchair (if you don't already) at the airport if it's a big one though. My husband uses a stick and often 2 crutches and was reluctant to succumb to the chair but after a 2 hour hike from one terminal to the other at Heathrow he gave it a go the next time. It's a Godsend at the bigger airports.
