Im after some help as the post indicates! I've been looking for the cheapest way to safley get from Alicante airport to Altea for the last few weeks and im really struglling.
Weve looked at buses (which dont seam to go to altea) and trains (which dont have altea on the list but i know altea has a train station grrr) and transfers ( £200 almost the same as the flight :-(!!)
What would you do? any suggestions?
Were staying in a villa in Altea (just up from Melia hills hotel) and going on holiday for the first time with our baby (who will be 9 months) so dont want to do anything too risky or far fetched but at the same time im on maternity pay so £200 is really going to bite into our spending money!
Any advise or suggestions would be very much appreciated

The cheapest way to get there would be to get the airport bus €8 per person to the Benidorm bus station, then get a taxi to Altea. It's only a few miles and wouldn't cost a lot from there. there are always plenty of taxis waiting at the bus station. A cheaper option than a taxi would be the No 10 bus, but then you would probably have to get a taxi form the last bus stop. We stayed at the Cap Negret hotel and a taxi from there was about €8. Yours is a bit further, but not too much.
