Have a few hours walking around Paleokastritsa in the west of the island. It has several coves, and cliffs to walk along - quite some views. Plenty places to have a rest and eat and drink too. Some other suggestions if you enjoy a walk and some great scenery

Don't miss a walk around old Corfu town. I'd advise an early evening visit as it can be a hot place to be in the day-time. You can hop on a bus/coach locally and go for a while. Some good suggestions here

Horse riding from Ano Korakiana - not far from where you're staying. Wish I'd known it was there when i was staying nearby!

We gave the horse-riding a miss because it was 38 euros each for an hours trekking and we thought that was way too pricey. We saw another place the day before we came home and that was 30 euros.

We had some lovely walks though and did some swimming but the only cycling we did was in the gym, because it was really hot. Had a fab time though and loved Corfu and found it all really relaxing.

We feel it is one of the best holidays we have ever had and the hotel, weather, scenery, people, etc etc were all great. It was 91F in the shade as we waited at Corfu airport this morning.

We visited Corfu town and really liked that too and spent most of one day there.

A year on and we're thinking of going again. Anyone been to Gouvia? Can't remember going there last year, but did go to Corfu Town which we really liked.

We'd also like to do the day trip to Albania this year if poss.
