Also can't believe how much poeple have paid for a week £2800 for a family of 4, we only paid £2100 for 2 weeks for a family of 4.
book early for cheap price.
one big down side of having a nice view of pool & sea was the sound from the evening entertainment, it went on till 12 & the kids could hardly sleep due to it being so loud. the room was amazing thou & i would go back. It was very hot & i hate to think how warm in will be in the summer.
any questions please ask, sorry to tired to type more now x
Welcome back. Glad you had a good time. Perhaps the beds were bad because it was half term week and the hotel was probably full to bursting. We could get them up till 8am when we went in April and later than that on the beach.
I found the Laguna Vistas disco a pain in the proverbial, nosie wise, but fortunately they seemed to turn it off at midnight.
Neither the beds nor the noise would stop me from going back though.

This might be a daft question, but I take it if I bring sterling that I can exchange it at any time in the hotel ? Have seen it before where the exchange in the hotel was only open a couple of hours in the evening.
Hi Dave - they will NOT accept Scottish bank notes in Egypt. Just up the road from your hotel is HSBC bank and you will prob get a better rate there.
Cheers - will need to order English notes, then.
Hi the banks are shut on a Friday. HSBC had a sign for exchange only after 6 but last month I changed it there in the afternoons no probs. There are also some cash machines where you can put in sterling for le but exchange will be lower than inside the bank.
Never stayed at this hotel before only the reef oasis blue bay which myself and partner love! Not much to do for kids tho.

we got back at 3am this morning. We went to this hotel last May and I have to say i think it was better this time around, especially the food. I think the food in the buffet was better than any of the al a cartes. We only went once to the al a cartes but there is a lot more choice in the buffet.
The downside this year was the entertainment team. They were definately not as good as last years and the kids hour at night wasn't as good. Last years reps Tasha, Ally,Gareth,Scott & Natalie were fab and these reps weren't a patch on them.
Also my boy was 2 weeks short of being 9 but they wouldnt let him join the wavelength. I do understand why but a boy of nearly 9 doesn't want to dress up as a bunny and go hopping about.
The snorkeling is absolutely fantastic, we went on the red sea cruise with First Choice. They have a kids rep on board to entertain the kids whilst you snorkel. We saw stingrays, eagle rays and dolphins as well as all the gorgeous fish.
We are going to look at some other Holiday Villages for next year can anyone suggest any?
Hi running caz, its going to be our 1st time in sharm this year but iv been to quite a few of the villages and the best one by far was dominican republic, and it wasnt that expensive, the one i thought was a big let down was cyprus there wasnt enough to entertain you through the day or night which we found very bad at dominican there is always something on for kids and adults which is up to you if you want to join in or not
Forgot to say if you go to the beach you will easily get a bed at midday. We spent most of our time at the beach cos im not on my holiday getting up at 6am to put a towel on a bed!! Its much more relaxing at the beach as well. There is also a bar on the beach and a snack bar now.
I personally don't think it should be allowed to put towels on beds before 8am, that is when the towel hut opens but people keep their towels from the day before to put out there early. Its sad really that the 2 weeks you go away for to relax and people are doing that.
we had a select room which was fab, I would do kids den next time.
weather is amazing. beach stunning & the sea out of this world.
looking to book one in 2011 as off to florida next year.

I dont think it is worth booking swim up rooms out of season as they are not heated. We spoke to someone who was in one of the swim up rooms, but their kids were bored and wanted to be either down the front at the pools with the slides and the activities or at the aclimatised pool.
I guess its a personal decision and might be nice frrom a privacy point of view, but if you pay a high price supplement to get a swim up you may find you dont get value as your kids want to be at the other pools all the time. Difficult one to call really, sorry probably haven't helped much.

Entertainment on right through the day, split well between the two halves of the complex (can use most facilities in either).
Pools were fantastic - from the busier main pools to the quiet ones (start of July, and we were the only 4 folk in some of them).
Entertainment for the family was good, but not great for us - youngest (7) loved it though.
Would advise heading down into Sarigerme itself of an evening or two - great cheap food and a couple of good bars.
Did all our trips via Sarigerme Tours in the town - couldn't have been better, and much cheaper than the FC ones.
Best was the days diving - me and my son had the boat to ourselves (so 4 crew + us 2 !!).
Hi all, going at the end of the month and was wondering whether or not kids are allowed in the pool with t-shirts on? I have bought rash t-shirts for them so I'm hoping they will be ok.
Yes i'm sure its fine for tshirts to be worn in pool. There were many children there last year with them on including my own, most of them due to sunburn or parents just being extra cautious(can't blame them) as it gets very hot this time of year.
Can anybody recommend a good block to stay in ? I was going to email remy but don't know what to ask for
Thanks julieb
Block 5 or 6 are good blocks close to everything.
Block 5 is near the shallow end of the pool which is where we stayed last May.
Block 6 is next to the al a cartes which is also opposite the shallow end of pool,we stayed here a few weeks ago.
