I have never been to Turkey before, so do not know which is the best way to change money. In some countries I have been to, if you exchange locally you get the correct rate and not the dreaded tourist rate, so my options are:
1) To acquire Turkish currency before leaving home.
2) To take travellers cheques and exchange locally.
3) To take Stirling and exchange locally.
If exchanging locally, does one use banks or authorised money changers?
Is there anything else I've not considered?
