Can anyone help?
We are looking for a beach holiday this summer, don't mind where provided there are suitable flights from Newcastle aiport.
There are 3 in our party, our daughter being 13. We are concerned to find a holiday which will have appropriate entertainment for her & give her the opportunity to meet people of her own age.
We would like half board or AI as we have found over last 2 years that to self cater is more expensive in the long run. However we also want a lively resort, with plenty of bars & restaraunts if we choose to leave the hotel.
Asking a lot..............Can anyone help?
is this in the school hoildays i would assume? when you say suitable flying times that can differ to diffrent people. like some people think flying out at 7.30 in the morning is a good time as you get to resort around miday. not taking into consideration booking in around 3 hours before, possible hours jounery to airport and parking up. and getting up around an hour before setting off, sorting the kids out loading car ect... so that bring it to getting up around 2am, so by the time you get to your hotel your frazzeled. did that early one last year and year before. and i never learn this year aswell lol.
any way back on track rough time in summer and rough place to go i am sure we can do some searches for you

I prefer early times for the reasons you have stated but also because your return journey is usually around the same time as you landed so there is no hanging around on your last day and you leave resort at a civilised time, like mid morning.
yes that the good part, no paying extra to keep your room going, mind you i am always sad what ever time i leave on my last day i just want to run for the hills and hide
Hi Little Legs & thanx fr yr reply,
By suitable I mean mid morn where poss as we are in exactly the position you spk of, 40 mins frm airport with the 2 hrs waiting time our last 6am flight was a bit of a drag, we were ready for bed before midnight on our 1st night & thats NOT being on holiday is it!!! Also flights are limited frm Newcastle, Majorca seems to be the cheapest & most frequent.
Having done some more searching of our own we have some criteria we realise is a must;
1 bed appartment so we can have separate room,
half board or All Inclusive,
family complex but older children rather than tots (realise thats a BIG ask)
evening entertainment (decent & age appropriate if poss)
We (my fella & me) would like a fairly lively resort but not necessarily 'clubby' as we'll not be clubbing at all! We like the beach too as well as pool-side.
Well, you asked for more specifics! Hope this isn't asking too much, do you think there's anywhere that fits the bill?
Many thanks X

Have a look at the reviews of Lykia World on the Turkish forum. It's a great place for teenagers, they have family rooms with 2 bedrooms; the food, entertainment and sports facilities are brilliant. We've flown from Newcastle to Dalaman and our flights usually go about 9am.
just need what month your thinking, and how many weeks. then we all can see whats out there for you
Hi Bridd,
Had a look on Lykia World but Turkey seems a bit too pricey for us. As I say, Majorca seems to be the most competitively priced so far - familiar to us too.
Hi Little legs,
We'll be travelling in school hols, yes, early to mid Aug. Expensive time I kno but work in school so no options - sadly! One last question, are we likely to be able to get a good 'last minute deal'?

Hi, I've just checked the Portland site and they have Majorca staying at The Valentin Puerto Azul hotel for 7th Aug with a free child place. Unsure of age limit.?
Have a look and see what you think.
There may be some late deals about but they are usually SC.

Thanks cazB I'll have a look. Have found that 13's usually too old to count as a child.
Thomson have the AI Flamingo Oasis in Benidorm for 8th Aug at £1692.
Thats a great price
Plenty of entertainment in Beni.
