Hi cant recommend it as never stayed there but try looking at Aquablu Hotel in Hadaba - it is located in the waterpark - google pickabatross - it is in the Hadaba area and not too far from Alf Lela, Il Mercato and Old Market.

Hi basically in that area is what I posted above plus of course the waterpark. Il Mercato is a nice shopping mall with fixed price shops a couple of restaurants and a bar. Next to this is Alf Lela that has lots of shops, restaurants, shisha bars inside and out. Opposite is Columbus restaurant that is quite cheap and big portions. At Alf Lela there is a show and Sat night is english night. There are some bars, restaurants etc outside the waterpark. Old Market has lots of shops, restaurants etc. El Masrien is a famous Egyptian restaurant and there are a couple of really good fish restaurants there too. There is a beach area here which is calm and safe. Al Fanar ( lighthouse ) is a great area for snorkelling and has a nice Italian restaurant - you pay to enter the beach but well worth it and the sunset here is lovely.

hi thanks for that been quite a few times to the other side namma so know it well
just have to find a good hotel now
i like to sun bathe while hubby snorkels and son does pool and slides and hangs out(14) too cool for kids clubs
we always go all inclusive so we know all is paid and also we can eat out when we choose also son eats when he's hungry and not relying on going with uncool mum and dad
thanks

Hi :rofl

Quite a few of the hotels down that way are BnB, two of the best ones the Rennaisance Golden View Beach, which I have stayed in and is very nice and the other is the Hilton Waterfalls. If you can get a good deal on these they may be worth considering and just paying to eat out as you are really near Old market which is the cheapest bit of Sharm and you also have Il Mercato.

Another alternative that might suit better as it is AI is opposite the RGVB resort, is the Iberotel Club Fanara, not sure if it has slides though so you would need to check, but generally it gets good reports. It is actually on the sea, wheras I think I am correct in saying at AquaBlu you have to go to the sister hotel to access the sea, so the Iberotel could be better for your hubbies snorkelling.

thanks will check these out
with reference to the water park is it only available to the aqua blu hotel or can other people use it
also have heard there is a ice rink and go kart at this area is this true or have i got it mixed up with everything i'm reading thanks

Hi yes the waterpark is open to the public. There are 2 go kart tracks Noos and one in City Council Street but the best one is Ghibili in Naama. There isnt an ice rink in Hadaba. There is a small new one at Soho Square White Knights beach at the front of Savoy hotel and another nearby at Concorde hotel.
