No takers!! Surely there are some descent Italian restaurants in NYC?? We are going over in 11 days time it would be nice to get someones opinion before then. TIA.

Have you looked on the Trip Advisor site, I remember seeing a discussion on TA some while ago about the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Sorry I can't be of much help, when I visited New York last year I didn't go to any Italian restaurants.

Best to go to the area known as "little Italy" some good ones there but can't remember their names.

We ate twice in little italy in a lovely italian resturant on the main area - i cannot remember whats its called (not much use i know) but i will find it for you before you go

it began with a P and it was on the right hand side as you walked Up the street

it was either Pelligrino or Pesano's they are next door to each other.

this had a pizza seller outside and a seating area outside too.

Lovely food, sorry i cant be much more help, i have dug out the photos i took of inside the resturant and they say no names at all
