Hi All
Well we came back a few weeks ago from Ruda Holiday Park in Devon after having a really good time and was thinking of somewhere else to go that was Parkdean for another time.
So anyone have any opinions on Cherry Tree Park in Great Yarmouth?
Many Thanks
Butchdingle
Has good facilities and is well laid out with reasonable amount of space between the Vans. Pools were well-maintained (though i recall some problems with slippery surfaces in the indoor one), mini golf, decent "play area" for the kids and the standard over-priced on-site supermarket (but it's a 5 mins drive to a large RAINBOW store). We're not big on evening entertainment but actually preferred what was offered from Parkdean to that from Haven (usual kids disco, bingo, talent shows but also decent magic and vocal acts on a rotating basis and one year an excellent circus act too). Kids WERE happy in kids club til it became "uncool" (age about 9 !!!!)
If it still runs "Julies" Sunday car boot is huge and very close by.
It is a bit out in the sticks - there is nothing close by (will try to remember the name of an excellent chinese take-away about 5 mins drive away) - and would be difficult if you don't have transport I should think, though there were usually a few hardy souls at the busstop by the entrance aiming for Gt Yarmouth.
Definitely prefer it to other local sites though and we did look at a few.
