Hi, me and my friend are going to this hotel on sat, we are both 17 years old. I have read the reviews about not being good for teenagers, but can somebody add if there will be anybody our age? or if it is just little kids? Still really looking forward to it, any recommendations where we should go whilst there? Thanks
don't worry their are kids of all ages my 2 daugthers were 11 and 16 and they both found lots of friends.

I think the hotel will be perfect for you , its in a great location , opposite the beach ,Pineda hasn't got much night life for your age group but Calella is close enough, also Lloret, i'm sure you will have a great time .

I thought I'd share with you the fact that the Taurus Park will be offering an All Inclusive option from 2010. We booked with Thomson today and got 10 nights all inclusive for 2 adults and 2 kids from August 7th 2010 for £2100. We have always refused to pay the extra supplement for the family suite as it bumped the cost of the half board holiday by far too much. But this is, in my opinion, an amazing deal.

Also do the family rooms overlook the pool/sea.

Maybe someone who has stayed recently will correct me, but my parents stayed there last year and they told me that the family rooms are in the newest block and indeed have the pool and side sea view. Apparently, just underneath the rooms on one side of the block is the bar thay stays open until about 3am. I can't for the life of me understand why they put the familiy rooms above that bar!
we stayed here last year in a family room they dont all over look the pool/sea, half of them overlook the front of the hotel so you would hear every coach that arrived as we as noise from the late bar. Ours did over look the pool and we did not have any problems with noise the room number was 180 :). Its a great hotel, this only problem i found with it (and im very picky lol) was the sunbeds!!! if you want beds round the baby pool and shallow end of the big pool you will need to set your alarm for 6.30!!!

I've booked the family in this hotel for 2 weeks from 25th july, the youngest is 5 and she loves the beach but I'm led to believe the sea here shelves immediatley and is too dangerous, can anyone recommend a safe alternative within reasonable travel distance, I dont mind hiring a car btw.
I think you might find all along the costa brava the sea shelves rather steeply and quickly , i'm not sure about tossa del mar though as only ever been there for the day, and never used the beach ,
The Habana bar is underneath the family rooms on the pool side but in June last year it defo didn't go on till 3am, maybe 12.30. We were on the 2nd floor and could only hear the music on the balcony.
Yes the beach does shelve quickly, but then it's quite shallow for a long way out. Do recommend plastic shoes though.

Amazing time! the beach is ok for litttle ones as long as you keep an eye on them, not as bad as people make out. Kids will love the night time activities to. great hotel! will be returning

I'm a bit confused. As per my earlier post, I have booked this hotel for 2010 and got a great deal on an all inclusive basis. My booking confirmation confirms the all inclusive basis.
Some friends of ours wanted to come with us and tell me that there is no all inclusive option on the website. Having just checked myself, he is right. The holiday is £300 more than we paid but for full board only. There is no all inclusive option available.
So, will this mean that something is wrong with my booking? Will I not be getting all inclusive? Can Thomson change this after I have booked? Surely, if there are rooms available then my friend should be getting the all inclusive option? At this time on a Sunday, there is no one at Thomson I can call.

i read your earlier post about booking a/i and thought the price was good so i checked for my family but their was no a/i available.
phone thomsons and see what they say. we stayed at the taurus last year h/b there was no a/i available at that time as far as i am awhere.

i have checked this like yourself on the internet and agree that no A/I package is being offered , did you book online or at a travel agents , but you definately need to sort this out now rather than when your on hols. i prefer to speak to somebody face to face than on the end of a phone , please let us know how you get on .

Have managed to speak to Thomson about this and they say that All Inclusive is no longer available. However, anyone who has booked All Inclusive will have their booking honoured. I'm gobsmacked that they seem to have changed their minds after accepting bookings.
Are you happy to keep this booking or did they offer you an alternative to cancel the holiday without losing any monies paid or rebooking another holiday .
