Hi, has anyone stayed at the Heperia Lanzarote hotel in Puerto Calero?
I have found a good deal (Half board) for next week, but I'm a bit hesitant because i dont know much about the area or hotel. Although, have to say, really like the look of it!
Just wondering if it is a far walk to beach, bars etc, and what is the walk like, i.e. road-side or beach-side?
Also what the food is like and is the buffet restauant 'trousers only'?
What is Puerto Calero like as a resort, how much would a taxi be to get there?
I really hope someone can help, I'm hoping to get something booked tonight!

If you are looking for a peaceful hotel based holiday and the price is right, then I don't think you will be disappointed. However, the hotel is at the far end of Puerto Calero, quite a longwalk from the marina, and taxies are very erratic down here!! As per the reviews, this hotel is way out on a limb in a place with nothing to do bar eat, drink and people/boat watch!!! There is no beach to speak of, but outside the hotel are a couple of sandy inlets where people do go to swim and sunbathe. I've never stayed there or eaten there, and the last time I was there about a month ago, it was very quiet. The pool areas looked lovely though!
