I booked flights for some familly members on Goldtrail and it stated at time of booking hold luggage was 20kg and 5kg hand luggage. We actually passed a turkuaz plane as we were approaching Dalaman in June, the coulors looked really smart. I was looking out the window and could see it not to far away from us heading out of Dalaman.

I have booked my holiday with a company called Holiday Mate, travelling with Turkuaz airlines. After printing my eticket, I read my terms and conditions with reference to baggage allowances and it says, 20kg hold baggage and up to 5kg hand baggage. Hope this helps.
I have just returned from my holiday and can give you some conclusive evidence about Turkuaz and Onur Air! I booked my cheap and cheerful package holiday about 4 weeks ago and to my horror saw that my outbound flight (Manchester - Dalaman) on Sunday 28/06/09 was with Onur Air. I also read that my inbound, today Sunday 05/06/09, was with Turkuaz. I have never travelled with anyone other than Thomson or First Choice so after some frantic research about both airlines and a failed effort to swap the flights, I settled.
To my shock I found that I was quite impressed with Onur Air. The safety measures could have been slightly clearer (they didn't go through the stereotypical arm gestures that cabin crew do, only a blurry video shown in both Turkish and English) but the standard of professionalism and safety was right up there with Thomas Cook, Thomson etc.
I was a little more concerned about the Turkuaz company purely because I was unable to find much feedback about it, and that they only have two carriers. Turkuaz was much the same as Onur, however. We flew on the A321 and felt even that the safety measures were a little better than Onur.
There was no in-flight entertainment on either plane which we didn't find a problem as we slept for most of the time. The staff were friendly enough on both airlines, and I felt happy and safe during both of the flights. We were prepared and took our own food and drinks for both as the trolleys were very expensive, especially on Onur. We also had a 20kg baggage allowance plus 5kg of hand luggage on both flights.
So in all, I didn't really have anything to worry about. Both aircraft were fine and if I saw that on a future holiday I had been put on a flight with either of these two airlines, I wouldn't be worried. I would recommend either as a low-cost alternative to British companies.

Hi i've booked a flight on the 15th july for me and a friend and still can't find any information about this company. Is it right they only have 4 planes? Has anyone flown with them? if you could let me know that would be great cheers
Please refer to my reply 10 down on page 1 for aircraft information and Helen_yel's trip report above.

Can anyone please help.
I am going on holiday wednesday evening (15th July) and have booked through Goldtrail.
We are flying with Turkuaz airlines flight numbers TRK434 and TRK 433 but i cannot find any details on the Gatwick website of those flight numbers.
Do we fly from South or North terminal??? I tried ringing Gatwick enquiries but got an automated system that didn't recognise the flight details.
I am panicking a bit as this is the first time i have ever booked with a budget company and beginning to think that my holiday is a sham.
Please respons asap..... thanks
Flights from Gatwick South Terminal.
For information, Turkuaz Airlines have now taken delivery of their second Airbus A321-200 (TC-TCF). They now have three aircraft in operation; 1x Airbus A320-200 (TC-TCD) and 2x Airbus A321-200 (TC-TCE/F).
I too have been booked on to a Turkuaz flight for our hols this year 1st to 15th aug 2009 (TRK462 and TRK461). We originally booked to go by Onur Air but for some reason were changed to these flights. Having previously travelled by Onur Air and Freebird I was not too concerned about the TRK flights but still did a little digging around about the company and more importantly their fleet.
See Below.

So it would appear that currently Turkuaz currently have three planes that they have aquired from the above airlines. Hope this helps.

Welcome onboard
Thanks for the fleet update, I'd already posted it previously though! Have a great holiday and don't forget to report back on how you found the flights. Here are a couple of photo's of their latest aircraft; Airbus A321-200, TC-TCF.

They are only a small airline and don't have online facilities. You'll need to check-in at the airport in the normal way.

Did you manage to find any more reviews anywhere for this airline? We are on the same flight out of Manchester on the 14th and I'm managing to work myself up into a fine old tizz!
I'm not a good flier at the best of times (often need a trip to the docs beforehand) and was just about getting used to the fact that we were going with Onur Air when the confirmation arrived and I discovered we'd been swapped to Turkuaz airlines instead.
Have surfed until my fingers are numb and only come up with a couple of reviews. At the moment I'm telling myself that people generally only write a review if they are aggrieved about something, right? and there aren't many reviews, bad or otherwise, so that's got to be a good sign right!?!
The photos posted here from the chaps (who appear to know what they're talking about) look good, as long as we get the new plane that is.
Anyway, if you find anything else to report before I do, let me know please. If not, you'll know me on the 14th, I'll be the one escorted onto the plane by my kids and hubby in a straitjacket
Cheers, Nicky
I have heear people on Icmeler online saying they have flown with them, and the flight was fine. It's your average no frill flight, but at the planes were well kept and seemed safe.
You shouldn't worry, just because Turkuaz Air is a small airline. They are operating out of a UK airport therefore must adhere to same laws regarding crew training, maitenance etc as any of the large UK operators.
Kick back relax and enjoy the fllight, with a can of effes from the trolley.
Steve
I've heard nothing but good things about Turkuaz. Apart from a few flights, they've been pretty punctual and offer your usual no frills experience.
Darren
I've heard good things to. If I had a choice of flying Thomas Cook or Turkuaz, even though never flown with them I'd choose Turkuaz as they can't be as bad as Thomas Cook.
I think it's a pleasure to read TURQUAZ seem to be a good airline, flying out with them on 3rd Sept from Gatwick and really looking forward to the flight and the holiday in Turkey
I flew Gatwick - Dalaman on TRK454
4 hour delay going out, issued with a 7 pound food voucher, but food ran out after 4 mins on plane,
on the return they refused to accept the voucher, here are some prices on bourd,a twix bar Euros 3, instant coffee ( paper cup hotish water and nescaffe sachet) E3. the only water they would offer was for sale at E1 for 33cl. all soft drink cans E3 each,
we were treated as cash cows, the hostesses had no function other than to collect cash from as many passengers as possible.
very cramped seats mostly slightly broken, the worst two flights I have had in 35 years
It makes sense to me that they refused to accept a refreshment voucher if it was issued for the delayed flight out, and you tried to use for the flight home then they wont accept it.
