If coming into Gretna northbound from A174 there's a pub on the l/h side past garage which is always busy! A little further on the same road (as if you were heading back onto the A174 north bound) there's another place on r/h side but when we stopped off it was like a morgue and the woman wasn't exactly what I would call welcoming (mind, that could be that my friend had asked why they were empty and the pub down the road was packed to the rafters)
