Hi
We called to book a holiday last night and were given a price we were happy with. We advised that we could pay half yesterday then the other half today. We listened whilst the payment was processed and were advised that it had gone through. We were also advised that the cost included luggage, a meal on the plane and an upgrade. We left all of our contact details, phone nos and email address. We wrote down the booking reference number.
Today we called to pay the rest and were told that the deposit was not taken and the hotel was NOT booked. He told us that the hotel was fully booked. After speaking to the Manager (very apologetic as you can imagine) she told us the price had gone up and that was the best they could offer but there was availability in the hotel now. We were informed by the Manager that the travel booking number was invalid and also that it would not include transfers and probably not a meal either.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Wendy
You do not say with whom the booking was made.
Did you pay with Credit or Debit card? Have you spoken with them to find out if a transaction has been recorded on your account?

Sorry I am not sure if I can move the post now. We did call back and pay for it all tonight it was with Qwerty and we saw the holiday on Teletext holidays.
thanks
Already moved for you.
thank you
we paid by credit card and checked the account to see if a payment and then refund had gone through but it had not.
I have just sent a long email to the company to complain, once I receive a reply I can then decide if I should complain to Teletext, or should I anyway? Just thinking of other customers.
Well we received a prompt response and they are going to refund us the difference for the price of the holiday and also provide us with free return transfers, thanks Qwerty!!
Many thanks for letting us know the outcome. Pleased it has worked out or you so quick - and even got some money to spend.
thanks and yes I will.
