I've got 2 months until our first anniversary and I need to take my wife somewhere that will amaze her.
We don't mind flying too much, but alternative travel could be fun, likewise we like some alternative types of holiday. Staying in the uk is good too, but we live in Devon so know most of the south west.
My wife is fair skinned so lying on a beach is NOT her thing, but also she has a bad knee at the moment, so anything too energetic is a bad idea.
We have about £500-700 between us so it can't be too expensive either.
Any advice or suggestions would be welcomed
Thanks
Pete
eurostar to one of the european cities prehaps, or somthing diffrent prehaps one of the baltic states prehaps
Up to Swansea, and then on the overnight Cork ferry. Long weekend in Southern Ireland. Magic.
We are thinking about the India/Khyber area - My husband has always wanted to take me there.
Otherwise, I would suggest you go where you spent your honeymoon - like we did 39/40 years ago - Paignton Devon!!
Whatever you choose, enjoy it.
We have just come back today from the Holiday Inn at Plymouth and without doubt, I would recommend it to anyone who likes and expects to be treated in a friendly manner.

I would be thrilled to bits if hubby took me somewhere like this. One break we thoroughly enjoyed was Tallin in Estonia - we'll certainly be going back there.
We booked here an apartment with balcony seamlessly last year (watch for the stairs)

Amazed my other half with similarly organised trips to Marrakech/Essaouira and Istanbul. I couldn't choose between them all, tbh, except that Barcelona is cetainly the easiest to get around (but more expensive when you get there).
love the romany place in Wales, but sadly booked in Sept!
Good luck with finding the ideal break, Pete. It's be good to know where you end up and how it goes
Love Venice - and you CAN do it cheap - don't have to do too much walking if her knee is too bad...sit and people watch.
