Does anyone know the dates for the carnival next year in pdc ? we had read somewhere it was 20th February,is this right ?
Does it take place on Av de las playas,is there fireworks,what time does it start etc ?
we are going 18th February and my wifes birthday is the 20th Feb,so this will be a great time to go.
any info would be great.thanks
Carnaval in Arrecife is always the day before Shrove Tuesday, with the Burying of the Sardine on Ash Wednesday. PDC has had its carnaval, for as long as I've been here, on the following Saturday, so yes it should be on 20th February 2010 
The parade goes along the avenida, this year it started at the Fariones end, and starts around 5 p.m.
