Firstly, I am sure I asked this question earlier this year, so apologies, cos I can't find my post! Secondly, this subject is being spoken about in the complaints forum, but my question is as follows.
I am booked on a flight from Singapore to Lanzarote, so will be flying into LHR, out to MAD and then on to ACE. My flight times are arrive 0525 at LHR, then my flight to MAD is at 0725, both arriving and departing from the same terminal on 6th Nov 2009. I am flying on a codeshare, so therefore my luggage should go all the way through from Singapore to Lanzarote.
I am concerned about having only two hours between these connecting flights, although I have been assured and reassured by both my TA and BA that there is plenty of time!!!
I am actually not that bothered, if they have it wrong, but would like to know if BA have a responsiblility to give me a hotel room and onward flight, should I miss that connection?

Is there more than one flight each day to Madrid from Heathrow? I would imagine there is, in which case BA would put you on the next available flight if your flight from SIN is late. Normally BA will put you in a hotel if they can't get you on another flight. I'M assuming you are flying into terminal 5 so 2 hours should be plenty of time if you don't have to play about with security or luggage. I think your problem could be the flight from Madrid to Arrecife, is that with Iberia? if so there shouldn't be a problem with a later flight ..

Hi Judith, actually the problem won't be that flight from Madrid to Lanzarote, which, yes, is with Iberia, but again codeshared!! I have enough time in MAD. It's the LHR/MAD which could be the problem as it is the only way I can get onward on that day, as it is the only one that will actually link up! Thanks for the info that 2 hrs should be enough time in Terminal 5 LHR, never been through there before!!

I have no problem missing that connection to Madrid, if it means BA takes care of me and gives me a hotel for the day so I can sleep LOL!!!! Oh, of course, and that they actually do send me home to Lanzarote the day after!!!
