We had them every night on the way back to our hotel, brilliant ones at the restaurant on the corner going back to the Senhor Angelo hotel in Calangute - sorry can't remember the name but will be going back at Xmas so could let you know after that! Just past Rabbie Burns and Sudans. Best I have ever had. Take some time for them to make them but they are worth waiting for. Stays open late as well.

Mojito is my absolute favourite cocktail, I have had some lovely ones in the Far East but never tried one in Goa - yet !! ;)

Same here....I'll be keeping my eye out for them in March 2010...can anyone tell me of anywhere in Candolim that sells a decent Mojito?

.... Mind you, you haven't tasted a Mojito until you've tasted one in Cuba! :cheers

No, No, No! It should always be Havana Club and demerara sugar. Even better it should a sugar syrup made with demerara so there's no grittiness at the bottom! And the lime juice has to be fresh! And all the ingredients have to be icy cold before mixing so that the crushed ice doesn't melt too quickly and dilute the taste and flavour!

I don't think that's a very good picture of one! The ones I get in Goa are full of lovely fresh mint and lots of crushed ice.

The picture looks pretty much like what you can expect to be served in Cuba, the one true home of the Mojito. Too much mint and it turns into a waterlogged salad! Too much crushed ice and the proportions of rum to sparkling mineral/soda water are all wrong! A mojito should be a long drink with a relatively delicate flavour lime and mint - there shouldn't actually be too much of a 'kick' from the rum either :)
