Hi everyone,
I have the chance of a 1 wks accomodation only stay whenever i choose in the Hotel Regency Palace in Madeira. Has anyone any past experience of this particular hotel?. The only drawback as far as i can see is the prohibitive costs of flights, again if anyone has any advise it would be gratefully received.
Many Thanks
Andy

Here's their website if you haven't already seen it (Looks lovely - very posh) http://www.hotelregencypalace.com/index.html

This hotel is quite a long way out of funchal and the lido area. We were hassled quite a lot from timeshare people to attend meetings there so expect it to be busy with people looking around. Regards flights we flew from stansted for £120 each with Easy jet and have booked flights for the same price next May and these are school holidays. TAP fly from Gatwick which are usually very reasonable as well.
Easyjet are very reasonable. Last December we paid £90 for both of us return. Have never come across time share touts, I thought they had been banned in Madeira. obviously I was wrong. Perhaps it's because we don't go near that area, and we go 5 times a year
