Im huge fan fake designer handbags when on holiday!! but i never pay much for them, but i like handbags in general! its shame because it is peoples wages at end of the day......
Turkey is not in the EU so surely this will not apply
...... but it might apply on your return to the UK, as it does in France if they see you with 'fake' luxury goods on arrival ............. (ie keep 'em hidden!)
I'm really not into designer stuff but most of the things I've bought in Tunisia have been fakes, simply because I've liked them. I always stock up on sunglasses, all of which have various designer logos on them, and they are just as good as the supposedly genuine ones I've got from collecting tokens etc. in the newspaper here, that are reputed to be worth around £100 which I wouldn't dream of paying, even if I could afford it. Some years ago I picked up a nice watch for around £7 and it wasn't until I got back to my hotel and looked at it properly that I noticed it said "Rolex". As it lasted me over 5 years, with only a couple of new batteries in that time, I'm certainly not complaining. Strangely enough, years ago when I was looking for a Rolex in Bangkok, I couldn't find one.
