I'm going over to Benalmadena in October & will be staying for 5-6 months. I've been offered nice accommodation by the Torrequebrada Golf Club & was wondering how far away I am from the Marina or the central nightlife?
As I've never been before I was hoping someone could give me a heads up.

If you have a car, you will make the marina in eight to ten minutes depending on traffic and lights. Walking, it will take at least 40 minutes if you can figure out the short-cut.

English bars outnumber Scots bars in Benalmadena 50-1. I only know of four, but my information on them is sketchy. There is one close to Flamingo Square and Hotel Siroco, another beyond the Benal Beach complex, and a couple more, I think, in Los Porches square, short of Lidl's on the same side, notably the Thistle.
Good stuff - I'll keep a look out for them - I'll need to keep up to date with the SPL
