Hi All.,
I have just returned from Corfu and found the prices to be quite reasonable. Obviously if you have children,it is a different matter!!! We were paying on average 20 euros for 2 starters,2 meals and half a carafe of wine, that was for 2 adults.Start adding on for 2 children and the price is going to be nearer 30+euro Breakfasts were about 3-6 euro each.Pint of mythos 3 euro although did find bars charging 2 euro for local lager.Spirits were between 3-4 euro, but good measures. Snacks were around the 4-5 euro for a burger, gyros were 1 euro 70!!!! They were lovely too. Most soft drinks were 1-50 - 2 euro for fanta, coke etc. Bottled water 1 euro in Tavernas/bars,30 cents in supermarkets!!

I like going s/c as I prefer to eat out in different tavernas etc,but if you have children with you,I would definately opt for half board or all inclusive.
I can remember us taking our four children one year to Ibiza for 2 weeks s/c. Bearing in mind this was almost 20 years ago,we paid almost £2,000 for the holiday and spent almost as much on food/drink entertainment etc!!! Very expensive to what you can pay now,and we had 2 free child places!!! And it was in June not the school holidays!! So the prices you have been quoted are excellent.!!

Hope you all enjoy Corfu,it is a wonderful Island!!
