kaan apaprtments, marmaris this saturday. What has my missus talked me into?

We have stayed many times in the Kaan apartments when the original owner (Kaan) ran the apartments and thought they were great value. They are situated in the Siteler area (Icmeler side) of Marmaris. They are set back from the main road but 5 minute walk takes you down to the main road and from there you can catch a dolmus along to the Marina and Bar Street area. You just need to wave and the dolmus will stop. Alternatively you can go in the other direction if you wish to visit Icmeler.

I am not sure about this time of year but normally theres quite a lot going on around the area with pubs/restaurants. We have never visited at this time of year. On our last visit to Marmaris we visited Kaans but discovered he wasnt personaly running the apartment block now but a guy called Mehmet was running them for him.

Prepare yourself for the bright pink decor and the noise from the nearby Mosque!

Just finished packing - off early Monday morning to Marmaris for a week

Going to Marmaris staying at the club nergis beach hotel......my first time to turkey so not sure what to expect.

Walked past the Nergis Beach yesterday and it still looked reasonably busy although the resort itself is pretty quiet compared to the summer months. It is the same every year though. Your Hotel is in a great location being right at the beach. If you are up for walks just go out onto the promenade and turn left and you have a lovely walk into the Marina area. Turn right when you come out and you can walk all the way into Icmeler if you want but it is some distance. Lots of good restaurants nearby iof you choose to leave the all inclusive for the night.

Unfortunately not staying at the Arum this time - one quote was over £6000 for a week bb with flights via istanbul for 2adults 2children

Staying at the Sunberk hotel - apparently near the Kervan from what we can tell, but all the reviews available seem to be in German.

Can't wait, haven't started packing yet though.
