Got back from Club Ako apartments Marmaris 2 weeks ago and hated the accommodation, have specified why on the complaints forum.
Marmaris itself is not my cup of tea, too anglicised by far with English breakfasts and English pubs everywhere, a bit like Turkey's answer to Benidorm. Great for young people who just want to party but not so good for holidaymakers who actually want to experience something of the 'real Turkey', the history and the culture.
Nearby Icmeler is certainly an improvement but I have to admit that we got it wrong all round when booking our hols this year.

hi we fly out to hisaronu,fethiye on the 7 sept-21sept,cant wait,our second visit,just hope the weather will be ok.
I have just booked the Devamli hotel in Icmeler for 2 weeks on October 12th. 
One more sleep, up at 6:00am for 9:30 flight from Newcastle to Bodrum, staying at Crystal Hotel, Gumusluk for a fortnight, can hardly wait. This is me and my better half's first time to Turkey. 
One more sleep then 2 weeks at Holiday Village,Sarigerme.

Going to Gumbet 6th October for a week. Eken Resort - anybody heard of it. Mixed reviews on another site, but we're easy going! I'll enjoy my holiday regardless!

Just Booked for 18 october - a week at Sunrise Queen in Side.
Was a good deal to book and upgrade to AI, the price seemed to adjust itself in my favour!

ONLY a week to go until we hit Gumbet for the first time.....very excited and looking forward to the rest & sun before the big freeze in the UK sets in
