We arrived home yesterday. We went to see Debnher at the Tower Lounge and thoroughly enjoyed their show and had a chat with them.We intended going to the Tropical to see them but could not find it.
Sue go and spend a night at The Town...sounds like your kind of acts...Neil Ross (Best Singer in Benidorm) 9pm, Davy Royal (funny not vulgar comedian)

We did spend one evening in the Town and enjoyed seeing Neil Ross and Davy Royal. I agree Taggy that Neil is a brilliant singer.
We once again saw Chic Smith at the Talk of the Coast and although we had heard a lot of his material we still found him very good.
We also went to the karaoke evening at the Carousel and heard some really good singers including Psycolisa.

Great to hear you had a good time Sue, i'm popping over myself again, just for 4 nights on 6th Dec. The Tropical is on the opposite side of the road to the Melia/Flamingo Oasis/Levante Club Hotels just about 2 minutes walk from there heading in the Benidorm Palace direction, its quite a nice Cabaret Bar, and prices not too bad in there! I'll certainly be seeing Neil and Norma on the 6th....providing The Town is open then!! I'll be catching up with Deb n Emms too, lovely lasses are'nt they...and brill singers too!

I`m sure i was in the Tropical for the football during the day in september , 4 big screen tvs , and only 1 euro a san mig , really nice clean bar.

hoping to go for the first time and doing a lot of reading it seems that drink during the day are very reasonable i am starting to get vibes that if you go to a pub or club with entertainment the drink price are expensive.Has anybody got any up to date prices on pints and coke or views on this.

drinks are expensive in the cabaret bars!
there are lots of bars that do 1 euro a pint
and cheap local spirits, some of them have
karaoke, most have football/soaps.
others have happy hours, 2 for 1 offers etc.

what we do is have a walk during the day,
look at the boards outside the cabaret bars
and see who is on when. Then we have a drink
in a cheaper place and only go in the expensive place
just before the act is on.

Drink prices are all relative. Plenty of places without entertainment where you can get a pint for €1 in the Cabaret Bars which provide live entertainment you will perhaps pay around €3.30-€3.50 a pint or between €2-€3 for a bottle of Mahou. The Tropical is one of the more reasonably priced cabaret bars as ive mentioned previously i think. But of course you are not paying an entrance/admission fee for all this entertainment which has to be paid for some way. I think you will find Benidorm very good value, in most other resorts in Spain you will be paying the same prices for drinks in Bars with no entertainment, as you will in the Cabaret Bars in Beni...with all that entertainment!

Thank you Rennie & Taggy that was the sort of imfo I was after, I dont mind paying a bit over the top if I know the general level I am paying, which could be far worst.

Hey guys, lads trip to Beni in March - ladies clubs likely to be busy?

Can anyone recommend an authentic Tapas Bar in Benidorm ?

Going over in May and am desperate to sample a good Tapas :tup

La Cava de la Aragonessa on Tapas Alley is the largest and most popular, but a lot of others around that area of the Old Town too! Great Atmosphere there!

Miss-Chief. Rositas, where you can still get a tapa and wine for 1 euro, not 4 euros plus for just a tapa in Tapas alley.
Turn off the playa paseo at McDonalds old town end.

Ohhhh thanks my mouths watering already at the very thought of it.......I love Tapas dearly & it's over 20 years since I was in Benidorm so I can't wait. Thanks very much :tup

Does anyone know anything about the Costa Games Bar closing please? This is on the road to the Rialto and is used by guests at the Nereo.
We called in at the beginning of our holiday but when we went last Sunday it was closed with a confusing message on the door
we will remain closed from Feb 1 to 25.THE 26th WE WAIT FOR THEM

Any ideas?

It has gone downhill since Juan left eighteen months ago - the atmosphere is not the same, and the staff are pretty miserable at the best of times.
