And can someone post the longitude and latitude of the volcano please, as an map from google aint allowed here? even tho its free on the internet?
was planning to hire bikes for the week, so if its worth it may ride there one day, distance depending ( staying in matagorda )

Hi are you talking about Timanfa if so dont think you can walk or ride round unescorted you may be able to get inside but you will have to take the coach round the park.

no idea, but that dont sound like what was expecting, thought you would beable to just pop up there and take a look on your own, oh well.
There's nothing to stop you cycling through the national park and seeing the volcanoes on your own but you can only do the ruta de volcanes on the coach. It's very cheap if you just turn up and aren't part of an excursion. There's a visitor centre that's free on the road out the park towards Mancha Blanca. It's very good and has AV displays in various languages. It's never too busy as none of the excursions seem to visit it.
