Hi Lesley,

As you probably know just make sure that you go after the Thanksgiving holiday so the prices will be cheaper and start looking for them now as the sales are usually on by now.

A lot of us here get our offers including send to a friend so make sure you keep posting as I was sending mails to people to take up the offer of the Wynne Resort for $99 per night with a free upgrade (if available ) to a resort suite at the Encore.

We are hopefully, still very much in the planning stage, probably September, Vegas for a week then off to LA to go on a weeks cruise from there down Mexico way.

Thanks John. Did you mean labor day. Thanksgiving is way too cold for me! :)

We actually quite like going the labor day weekend, maybe arriving sunday. We did that last year. Paid slightly more for the first night hotel, but not that much. I like being there for the labor day sales.

oh yes, we'll be off again in September hopefully. I still have my winnings from last September to spend :D

I'll look for flights in January when the sales start, I'll fly direct if poss. but will go via LA again if it saves a lot of money.

No idea where we'll stay yet. I'll definitely look at the City centre hotels but am quite happy to fall back to the Signature if need be :tup I may well book via VRBO this time if we go with the Signature. I won't really start looking for hotels until July some time.

Cheers,

TC

Got to love a new Vegas in 2010 thread!!! 23 pages I think the 2009 got to, will this beat it? If I have as many ups and downs as 2009 then I'm sure it will....yes we are going/no we are not etc!!!

As things stand and as I am currently on part time hours we are not able to look too far ahead. In an ideal world we would like a week city break March/April and then two weeks in September but it's all a bit up in the air at the moment. Initial thoughts are Philadelphia for the city break (we have been threatening to go for years now) and then Washington State and Oregon for the two weeks which is where we might fit in a few days in Vegas at the end. Who knows? If we do manage it, I think we would probably aim for a Citycenter property........

I will be getting my Vegas fix by revisiting this thread in the meantime. Happy planning everyone, oh and Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to you too Ju! Hope 2010 allows for a Vegas trip after it not quite working out this year. :cheers

Yes, I thought the 2009 thread was getting too long, so time for a new one!

TeeCee you jammy thing, not even spent it yet indeed! Do let us all know if you see prices good on flights. I'm hoping maybe January will bring a deal, but things are a little bit up in the air for us just now...we've got itchy feet again and have been thinking about moving. Regardless though, I think that should be planned around a Vegas trip rather than the other way around! Might have to think about costs though, which is a bit depressing. Maybe I should just book it and order dollars then there's no way out! :rofl

Hope you all have a great xmas and new year! :cheers and plenty of :sun2 next year.

Hope you all had a nice Christmas

Well....did anyone book yet? I saw flights for £442 the other day and was tempted I must admit! We have previously booked flight+hotel with expedia for our first few nights (usually Orleans) but the price for the Orleans isn't any better than I can get myself. A wee hint for you all there, I signed up for online discounts, using my Club Coast card number etc. It has gave me 2 free nights either December or January, so I take it they give you current + next month. No good to me of course, but I might wait to early August and get hubby to register Club Coast card for online offers and he might get us 2 nights in September!

I can get TI for $63 for some of my nights, that's tempting. Orleans is $30 weeknights, $77 weekends - also rather tempting. TI might not be cancellable though - sometimes their offers aren't. Wondering if we should book our flights....

We have May/Jun already booked. Flights with US Airways and staying at Excalibur on a facebook deal. The accommodation will no doubt change as the offers come out, but we were pleasantly surprised by Excalibur last year. Much better than we expected.

We will also be trying to go in Oct/Nov too. That has been our routine for the last few years, although the October one is getting earlier each year.

Not sure if this offer at the Excalibur is any good to you. Must be booked by 11 January.

It doesn't actually say that the internet access is free, just that it is available, so it might be worth a call to check, but the actual booking has to be done online.

We are planning 3 weeks to the West Coast in August - starting with 5 nights in Las Vegas. We have not done anything like this before (only done package holidays in the past) and are very nervous but excited. :)

Thanks Mallin 1321

We are planning as follows:

5 nights Las Vegas
5 nights San Francisco
5 nights Hawaii (though can't decide which island yet)
5 nights Los Angeles (we have friends there)

It's still very flexible. We are not driving as my husband doesn't drive and am I not confident enough.

We are viewing the holiday as a taster and then go back next year to further explore places that we really liked.

We do want to see the Grand Canyon but apart from that the whole holiday is a blank canvas.

Well....I've ordered some US Dollars from Crown. Got a good rate of 1.7699 for early May. We are very unlikely to go until September anyway, but thought the rate was quite good so we ordered $600. We already have some left from last trip too, so that's us probably all set with cash. Just need to book a flight now, but stalling because we're thinking about moving and don't know what will happen and whether we want to spend the money! We are thinking we should just book the flights then we HAVE to go (we will need a holiday anyway as the house will need lots of work so we'll be knackered!), and then we can choose the hotel later based on what our circumstance are at the time.

Here, I'm talking myself into this one am I not? :D
