In Candolim there regularly used to be a guy that i would see stood near the elephant shop opposite fishermans cove,
he would be offering a joss stick to the public in exchange for a rew rupees,
It took me a while to realise i could have bought a whole box for the same amount of rupees i gave him.
Today i walked past an ethnic shop in my home town and got a whiff off incencense and realised i had not seen him in Feb 2009.
He seemed such a polite and humble young man doing his best to earn a crust he obviously implanted himself into my memory
Who else looks out for a memorable character when they are in Goa

The bloke on Vagator and Baga beach who sells cakes, hardly any teeth, known him since my first visit to Goa in 1999 from the Hilltop in Vagator, this is where he buys the cakes
Definitely one of the taxi drivers who sits outside the Marinha Dourada he is called Babycham (I am sure a lot of you know who he is). We met him on our very first trip and always bump into him every year
The Tailors on the corner of the Panjim Road in Candolim. The bloke can always be found outside. We speak to him every year, he has never tried to coax us into the shop. He is a real character, likes a 'coffee' or six Bit like you Gemma
40 something. That bloke you mentioned has been 'demoted' as you may say he is now at the other shop down the side bruno's think thats the right lane theres a super tailors there..I did go in that shop on the corner of the panjim rd and asked where the nice bloke had gone to be told he's been moved...wonder why?
Is he the one who was always outside, every time we passed he would say "how are my young friends
aarond yes thats the gentleman.

Seems I am not allowed to put in a link for pedro on you tube, if you want to see him try putting in www. (forbidden word) .com instead of ******
Does anyone remember CHA CHA the walking supermarket, he used to have a coat with pockets just about every where and a yoke with two long nets stuffed full all the stuff he could not get in his pockets He would come strolling along Baga beach calling out something totally unintelligible and if you looked up he would come and sit on your sunbed and chat away until he could find something to sell you for a few Rps
A great character when you got to know him but sadly he died about five years ago
That`s him, Pedro
Sorry I meant Bosco's not Bobbys. Yes thats the one he is always looking out at the sea.
