Hi all,
I'm not sure if I am posting this in the right place but thought I would see if any of you guy's could help me out.
I would like to sent some money to the US for a birthday gift, however, I'm unsure how to do this. I don't want to send it in a card as thought this would be unsafe but don't know any other way of doing it...
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Much appreciated
Ruth
How about Western Union http://www.westernunion.com/info/selectCountry.asp
My family send me money in California for Christmas and birthdays. I've never once had any problems and the money always turns up. The risk of the money being "lost" is probably low but, of course, if it did disappear then you wouldn't be able to claim it back (even with insurance). Wiring the money (e.g. Western Union) is probably the best bet.
International Recorded Delivery has insurance up to £100 and costs something like £4 or £5 depending on the weight.
You just need to check that the US allows cash in the mail - I'm pretty sure it does.

Ah thanks for that. It's not a huge amount so I may just mail it or do the international recorded delivery. I'll look into it, much appreciated...
I believe you could use Paypal if you both have an account.
