I would recommend the Sonesta Beach resort as it is fairly central so if you want to walk to Naama Bay then you can or a cheap cab.
Oonas do also do hotel rooms and is on a B and B basis, all the instructors are English not Egyptian speaking english. If you get your own flight then they will pick you up from the hotel. You share the beach at the sonesta beach, but alas no pools. Saying this it is right near to a couple of water parks in the area, if slides are important. The Oonas is right next door virtually adjacent to the sonesta hotel.

I know everyone at the dive club, restaurant staff as well, plus anyone can go on the roof and chill with a beer or six and have a go on the shisha pipe whilst looking over the whole bay. It is the only view of Naama bay from the air you will experience.
I also know Graham went to a hotel as we met up with him last November, they have slides on their complex, but it isnt as central and you will need cabs getting in and out of Naama bay if you wanted to venture out.
Food at the Sonesta beach has improved a lot and i am always scoffing myself, i put a stone on when we came back. Now it is frozen off with the cold snow

Ps.............. Just remembered that if you stay at the sonesta beach you can use all the facilities at the sonesta club across the peace road, and guess what they have a few water slides, nothing dramatic but the kids will be happy. It is fairly new and a lot of people go there. The sonesta club is very much catered for kids as opposed to adults. You have to go thru the entrance of sonesta beach to access the beach though. So if you want a few hours there you can, we often go for a wander around.
