I'm fed up with looking now at different all inclusive hotels! They are all lovely. I have norrowed it down to three though.
bearing in mind we have two teenage children who are well into waterslides & music!! So I was looking for somewhere that do cater for teens.
Which would you recommend:
1 Pine Bay Resort in Kusadasi
2 La Blanche in Turgutreis
3 Holiday village?
I would also like to know which is more popular with the english as Turkey does get alot of Germans and french and russians
I have stayed next door to La Blanch at the Aegean dream resort and would say it would be around 40 % English but the advantage here is that for teens it is only a short stroll into town.
I have found over the years with mine that As long as there are plenty other English teens around they are happy and find plenty to amuse themselves until early morning .
Another great place we went was Club Letoonia in Fethiye- Lots of British there, loads for teenagers to do especially if they like watersports. Free sailing, windsurfing etc.Food was excellent too. Can easily get over to Fethiye on the club boat and then onwards to Hisonaru and Olu Deniz.

One of the decent A/Is in olu deniz would be good as they have a very compact and safe resort with plenty to do and beautiful scenary on their doorstep . There are a couple of late dancing bars very close to the hotels , one that does foam parties which the teens love. Belcekiz would be my favourite and it's mainly all british with a few turkish. Theres also plenty of teens that dance until late . Their dancing bar is open aired onto the resort and has a brilliant atmosphere but it's becoming very expensive due to the lack of competition on price. The sun city is widely available and there is the Olu deniz resort . This always had fantastic reviews but they appear to have been taken over last season and reviews not so good . This area of turkey has always been a favouite with the British so there is a very high percentage in resort .
Arh this is really interesting thanks both. Its nice to read other peoples opinion of choice. I'm going to check these others out!!
First off Happy New Year to one and All................
Well, at least you have narrowed it down to 3, which is great.
Firstly, you talk about how many Germans, Russians, eastern Europeans there may be, well, the majority of them tend to holiday in Antalya regions, Belek, Lara Beach, Side and Kemer.............however, like us, they love to holiday all over Turkey, and I honestly have never found them much of a problem. Some can be a bit rude, push and shove etc, but learn to push back a bit, or better still, be polite, that really confuses some............all in all though they are a good bunch, and lets face it, Brits have a bad habit of complaining in silence.................lol
Ok, most important your choices..............The Holiday Village, I know little about, but, I would think it would be a high percentage of families with younger children, and maybe your teenagers would feel like they were surrounded by too many kids, so I would do lots of checking on the reviews for this one.............
The other 2 are good, Kusadasi is a brilliant place to stay, very cosmopolitan, brilliant harbour area, lots of little bars to have a drink at, very near the wonderful amazing Ephesus, well worth a visit, but depending on what time of year you are going, because of the heat, the earlier in the day for a visit the better, and with everything........lots of bottled water. The Hotel has lots of facilities and would suit your family well........however,
My first choice would be the La Blanche. Good hotel, lots for teenagers, plenty of activities during the day, pool games etc, music a plenty, and lots of sunloungers and bean bags..............Disco in the evenings, (music not that brilliant, but it's ok) jetties are good for them to go off on their own, to chill and get a bit of down time away from the dreaded parents......and that gives you a chance to relax on the terrace with a cocktail or 4.
Turgutreis town is about a 15 minute stroll away, with lots of little bars to drop into, good beach, although narrow, and a market to get all the genuine fakes from on a Saturday........well priced and very good fun.
The hotel has good facilities, for all really, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good time, in a friendly atmosphere with a high chill and low stress factor. Very near other little towns and villages for a day out, Gumbet, Bodrum, and the beautiful Bitez are only a short bus (Dolmus) ride away at very little money.
Just one more suggestion if I may, if you have a look at the Voyage Torba, on the peninsula, just been refurbed, and it is glorious, 6 a la cartes, adult beach, high quality facilities and the prices are very competetive.
I can't give links cos I haven't been on here long enough, but I am sure if you ask an advisor, or go onto the hotel review site you will get an idea of how fabulous it is.............................
Hope you decide very quickly, cos the holidays to Turkey are selling like hot cakes.
Take Care.
Hiya, you mention the Letoonia, it was brilliant when we stayed there a few years ago, at the moment it is under going a massive re furb ready for April, bet it will blow your socks off....................
They are improving the rooms, (which did need a bit of a make over) and adding another restaurant.??...............I can imagine the prices hitting the roof for this one, but, maybe you will get lucky with a bargain. It was advertised in a famous Sunday newspaper before Christmas offering some deals, they may have gone? but why don't you contact the hotel and ask to be put on their mailing list for offers etc............that way, you may just get what you want.
If I hear anything, I will shout you.......very loudly.
Take care.. TB
I did forget to say that we stayed at Ephesus Princess last year which was really good however it was quite a walk to the apartments. My hubby has bad joints so it was quite difficult for him. I do not want this problem this year so can anyone advise on if there may be that problem with these? I'll also check out Voyage Torba
Stayed at the Ephesus too, we were near the wine house............aggghhhhhhh, the walk back at night was a killer, especially after a few sherberts.
No, Turgutreis is very flat, walking in any direction is fine, and areas are pedestrianised too, so no horrible traffic. The hotel is low rise, 4 floors over 7 or 8 blocks, lifts to all floors, and the a la carte restaurants are all near the pool. The main dining area is on the reception floor, and it is set out well, (a tip, try to get into the outdoor eating area, overlooking the sea.......oh, yes)
Good hotel, with very few negatives.
Voyage Torba is amazing, but it is selling like hot cakes........very big with the Brits, so have a look, and maybe put it on a "To Do" list?
Take care.
Is Pine Bay like Ephesus? That would put me off if we had a long walk like that again. It does look like it in the brochure.
Voyage Torba looks nice too!! Oh thats back to 4 now!!
Look on Trip Advisor for a more up to date view of the hotel, I think this will make your mind up for you.
The Rixos is another excellent one to try too....................too good, sorry, I am confusing you now.(Although there is some walking involved)
If you get the chance to go to the La Blanche, then go for it, excellent all the way, and everything you need.
Get back if you need anymore info on anymore hotels you may find, but sometimes you are better just going for it..............and how the holidays are being snapped up, if you have a price and it's on your list, then, you have the answer. You will not be disappointed.
Take care.
The market was an easy stroll too and I got some great bargains . I think TB might be right about the holiday village having a high concentration of younger families .
Yes Hisandhers the Pine Bay is a large resort and does involve a lot of walking likewise the Letoonia, didn't realise one of the party had walking difficulties
Just booked into Voyage Torba!!! Can't wait!! There is only two family rooms left for the entire August so I was lucky. Thanks for the suggestion TB and for everyones elses advise.
Fabulous hisandhers. Im very pleased for you.
I've also saved 370.00 with the thomas cook offer 11 nights for the price of 14
We have followed the rise of this hotel for a while, and after the re furb, we just jumped in there quickly, going May, and have just booked to go again end September for 10 days...................can't wait. Been to cracking hotels on the Peninsula, but I think this one has some of the best reviews I have ever read................so party on Girlfriend, and I am glad I pointed you in the right direction.........
Happy days.................... :DOh and one thing, I hope you mean 14 nights for the price of 11...............lol
We go to Turkey every year however we want to find one place that we can say yes we'll go back there next year!! Thanks TB. let me know of any updates when you come back!! Oh and bring us some sunshine back!! I'm fed up with all this snow!
