My husband and I are planning a 3 week holiday in August as follows;
5 nights Las Vegas
5 nights San Francisco
5 nights Hawaii
5 nights Los Angeles
We know that the Hawaiian islands are very different and people keep giving us very different advice. While we realise that it is obviously "horses for courses," we would appreciate more information from anybody who has been there.

Just a thought Jilly, how you could maybe do this DIY.
Find a flight from the UK to Vegas, and back from LA. You could even do a flight + 5 night package with expedia althogh not sure how they work the multiple destination flights but you could try it on their website, or call them.
Book a flight from Vegas to San Francisco with a local airline (like Southwest).
Book a package from San Francisco to Hawai (expedia?) flying back to San Francisco. You could even do this in the middle of your SF section.
Book an internal flight to LA (southwest etc) for your journey home.
