I've flown BA many times, alternating with Thomas Cook when going to Tunisia depending on price etc. BA often have very competitive prices, depending on day of week etc., which is useful if you can be flexible. Another advantage is their generous luggage allowance which is included in the price - 23kg hold luggage and reasonably unrestricted hand baggage, plus handbag or lap-top. Meals on short-haul have deteriorated recently, often only a sandwich and drink etc., but at least you don't have to pay for it as an 'extra'. I'm using BA again in April, having paid £130 to Tunis as opposed to TC who wanted £220!

Edit: I've just realised your original booking is with Thomson so you would need to check that the luggage allowance etc. wasn't restricted to their measly amount, in which case you might find it works out better to put the package together yourself, just booking the flight with BA.

The holiday would be a Thomson Gold hotel. I`ve looked for the baggage allowance but can`t find it so I`m assuming it will be 20kg as that`s what we had on a gold holiday last year. I`ve priced the hotel separately and it`s nearly as dear as the package. Thanks for your reply.
