Hello All i have been reading thru this thread and as a 1st time visitor to Egypt (going May 15th 2010) i have found lots of important,helpful info i wish to thank u all for that now i i have booked to stay at the Hauza Beach resort and read in a thread there has been lots of issues with this hotel to be honest i am more than a little bit worried about staying here i have been on trip advisor holiday watchdog also they have not given it good reviews either i am wondering if this hotel has overcome the issues where people have been ill thru bad food and the legal stuff that was going on where the complaints of a hellish hotel with infestations has this been sorted what was the outcome ? we have paid quiet a bit to go here and would like to know has things improved here or not we have booked AI also this hotel looks near the end of the resort is there any shops etc near it ? thank u in advance
Sorry to be the deliverer of bad news but have to tell you from personal experience of Hauza Beach that the food is TOTALLY aimed at the Eastern European guests, now I am usually able to find something eatable on most menus but the food at Hauza was chronic to say the least.
The bakery and omlette chef do a great job but apart from that I cannot find a single positive note to describe what was the most awful food we have eaten ANYWHERE we have stayed at previously or since.....Cabbage at breakfast, I kid you not!
The final straw for me was cutting open four chicken drumsticks I had put on my plate and finding EVERY one of them swimming in blood, clearly not cooked thoroughly and one of the reasons that most of the British, Dutch and Swedish guests ended up sharing taxi buses down to the local McDonalds most nights.
Sorry to be so negative but if there is still time I suggest you change your hotel with your travel company.

thank u so much for replying to me we are on to the travel company to find out if its possible to change it to albatros aqua bluu ssh that has has good reviews on sites i have wanted to go to Egypt for so long i dont want to stay in a hell hole
