Try La Penita apartments............very good reviews.....centrally located on the strip.......no big hills to negotiate.
spent a while doing some research for a recently planned hol. check out the following apts in no particular order.
elena apt, agua marina,bandama bungalows,lanzarote,lomo blanco,jable bermudas,atlantis las lomas,thb flora,la penita, el dorado, cinco plazas. some in old town, be aware of the hill in peak of summer.

Have to agree these are fantastic apartments and ideally located
But I would avoid the 'Atlantis Las Lomas' scruffy apartments and lots of break-ins
Thanks for your responses. Will look at Penita and Velazquez as I know that they are both in the same area as the Atalaya (near the Casino).
We stayed in the Valazquez apartments in 2007. This is exceptional accommodation and would highly recommend them.

Great photos Peter D - thank you. Still not booked anything but hope to do so in the next couple of weeks.
I stayed at the Oasis apartments back in 2004, they were good value, basic but clean apartments about 800m from the beach and closer to the new town rather than old.
I do recommend the old town though, has a couple of lovely little restaurants!
