Hello folks, self and three mates from the UK want to visit Sunny Beach this summer. Ten days in the last week of July-first week of August. Plan is,... well what is the plan when young lads visit a party capital? Drink, Party, make merry, meet new people, make new friends, stay in a chilled out hotel with other young people and soak in the local culture as well.
I have a few queries which I hope the experts in here might have time to quickly help us out with..
1) Hotel.
I have gone through the Hotel review section of the site. Most of the hotels in Sunny beach that have been given good rating have reviews dating 2007 or earlier... this is 2010... any reviews from last year?
Which is the best hotel for young party animals.. i.e. where holiday packages and groups of young people usually stay? Less of families and more of young party people.. (We'd like to give the family crowd their peace and quiet, and give us our noise and party!)
I am looking for a hotel apartment where four of us can stay in the same sort of apartment with four single beds or two double beds or a combination of the two. Not sure about self catering apartments as they seem to be privately owned and I've read one has to be careful of those. (that said would be lovely to bring back the ladies to our own "villa" ! )
Location should ideally be very close to the beach and nightlife. That's it.
Cost, nothing five star and fancy. A decent, middle class place for four young, working professionals.
2) Party
We are thinking between going for a package tour or booking flights and accommodation ourselves. Which could work out cheaper/more flexible? And which could work our safer/more reliable? (Having read Baldur's post about being careful when booking hotels by ourselves, that may be shutdown when we get there, I am planning to go through many forums and reviews before actually booking anything.)
If we book everything ourselves, then can we join the nightlife party pub crawls and all those activities organised by other package deal companies... or are there other such activities organised locally there by the local club promoters etc?
That's it. Simple and sweet :-)
Thank You so much in advance for your time!
TC,
K
