the advice line is being closed [it was announced last week] the outbreak was not as bad as expected, at risk groups are still being offered free inoculation usually by GP letter in the main thats young children the old and those with a history of immune/respiratory problems [an a few others i cant remember,

i did here a report about 6 mths ago where a virologist said that the consensus of opinion was over 50% of the adult population had had it but as symptoms wee wide and varied probably hadn't realised it

According to reports in the media there is now some doubt about the impact Swine Flue has had. Even more of concern is the suggestion that it was all a trick by the drugs companies.

I think "trick by the drugs companies" is taking it a bit far. I'd say more like mass hysteria started by ill informed journalists (does anyone ever question how a writer can be an "expert" on the credit crunch one week and medical matters the next??). Once the masses were panicking the drugs companies simply responded to demands - that's business!

Same thing over rock salt a couple of weeks ago. Makes no difference to snow at the sort of temperatures we had but once the papers had found something to campaign about I'm stuck for 20 minutes whilst the police escort a long convoy of lorries out of a storage depot!

But back to the original question - there were a couple more deaths in the week, I've a feeling they were in the West Midlands.

The cases of H1N1 swine flu hit the headlines in Mexico in April 2009 and scientists were going to work at super- speed to manufacture a vaccine...Right ?
Baxter International filed a patent for the H1N1 vaccine on August 28th 2008, so the patent was filed 7 months before this "new" strain was known about, and the data for the patent released on the 5th March 2009....before the first known outbreak.....That's not explainable because how can you apply for a patent for a vaccine, for a virus that had mutated and we had supposedly never had before and at that time (7 months earlier) didn't know about.?

The patent includes the following ingredients and toxicity warning:

'Suitable adjuvants can be selected from mineral gels, aluminium hydroxide, surface active substances, lysolecithin, pluronic polyols, polyanions or oil emulsions such as water in oil or oil in water, or a combination thereof. Of course, the selection of the adjuvant depends on the intended use. E.g. toxicity may depend on the destined subject organism and can vary from no toxicity to high toxicity'

Research the word Squalene, or better still Squalene in the SFV..... it is used as the adjuvant in the Swine Flu Vaccine and whilst we make Squalene naturally in the liver to produce the oiliness in sebum, which keeps our skin from drying out, the Squalene used in vaccines is from the liver of sharks and there are people who don't think it should be injected directly into the bloodstream, and mixed with other toxins in vaccines like formaldehyde and thiomersal (mercury derivative)
Introducing Squalene into the body via a ‘vaccine' (which contains foreign substances to activate the immune system) can lead the body to consider ALL Squalene bad....

Squalene is associated with Gulf War Syndrome because the vaccine used against Anthrax was laced with Squalene....although highly denied because it would lead to thousands of lawsuits and billions of dollar pay-outs...but the women were told not to get pregnant for 18 months and there were some people who were vaccinated but never actually got to the Gulf and they have Squalene antibodies.

And it gets even worse.
Baxter has admitted that it sent out 72 kilos of contaminated seasonal flu material containing live bird flu virus on 27 Feb 2009 to 16 laboratories in 4 countries..
Well, I guess we can all thank that lab technician in the Czech Republic who decided to do a random test on the material that Baxter sent out, even though he didn't have to, otherwise we would have had a pandemic with a virus that had a high mortality rate and a high transmission rate.

The biggest medical S c a m this century....google it, they all can't be wrong and that's probably why there's a deafening hush now about swine flu, even though we are in the seasonal flu season....loads of countries with stock piles of untested or not extensively tested vaccine for a pandemic that never was...:wink

Back to the original question. It has been in the papers quite a bit this week. The pandemic is now officially over so I don't think you need worry about it concerning your holiday.

I work in retail and we bought in some swine flu wipes that have been dramatically reduced in price, i was putting a box of travel size wipes on the counter and the "S" was inadvertently covered, i had someone ask me what "wine flu" was :rofl not sure if its that sunday morning feeling after a few too many!

hi all....thanks for replies....

wizard....sad but I never listen to the radio anymore...got them all over the house....but just dont turn them on....rest of family usually watching tv or listening to their own music...there was a time the radio went on in the morning and got left on most of the day....but the tv usually wins now

fwh...after what Ive been reading on sanji's post wouldnt put it past them

steve....a bit of mass hysteria would have only helped the drug companies sales....and I didnt notice any reassurances coming from them....just how fast they could produce lots of vaccines

sanji....that was really interesting....thanks for taking the time to educate us all abouts whats really been going on

kedi....if this was the pandemic we were led to believe it was going to be it would be part of the pattern for it to have died down now....the freezing weather ...people not congregating in public places slows the infection rates....you cant kill it by freezing just make it inactive....as spring aproaches ...it gets warmer and lots of moisture in the air.....it then creates ideal conditions for the virus to make a come back.....thats what happened in the 1920's ....thousands died ....they called it the 2nd wave and the initial outbreak was nothing compared to the destructive nature of the 2nd wave.....I only had my jab a few weeks ago....should have got it earlier because of my job but doctors didnt have enough jabs to go round......so either I am lucky and am protected incase it makes a come back.....or as usual Im so late getting things done I neednt have bothered :rofl

I unfortunately suffered quite badly with Swine Flu last September.

I was offered the jab in December being in a high risk group but I declined as I'd read on many sites that if you've had Swine Flu there was little need to have the vaccination.....so decided to take my chances :tup

I'll be interested to see if there are still temp scanners at certain airports this year, Bodrum being one we went through in October 2009

Thanks Tweetie
I've been following this very closely and let's just say there are a lot of things that just don't add up.
But, it's not for this forum ;)
