I think this holidaying outside the eurozone because of the low exchange is media hype, generally people are swapping to turkey and egypt because the weather's good and the locals are accomodating to us brits. But as Justval has said the egyptian exchange has fallen by at least 20% and alcohol is not cheap there either, obviously my holidays there are costing more, but i wouldn't just change to somewhere else because its cheaper, i go there in winter months and get the weather i like, i don't worry too much whether a beer has gone up from 35LE to 42LE , the bottom line is you either take more money or spend more carefully.

i would happily pay 3/4 euros for a cool drink chilling out in the warmth then £2.20 in my local eating pork scratchings :D
i agree!!
but then i'd rather go to the pub and have a pint with a friend even though i could get 4 cans from the supermarket for the same price and sit at home like billy no mates supping my cheap beer, isn't it really about quality rather than quantity?
