Caribbean can be a bit iffy that time of year - especially northern caribbean as the main hurricane belt goes right across them.

Might be better off going to one of the more southern islands like Barbados or St Lucia as hurricanes rarely pass this area (or at least dont go directly across these islands)

I went to St Lucia for a week last september and weather was excellent - rained once during the night, and for about 10 minutes during one of the days we were there.

Like the previous poster said Barbados is the least rainy (I believe) and has the least chances of being affected by a hurricane. Also I think Aruba has great weather in September due to its location.

thanks for that, really fancy the riu palace in aruba, went to riu palace in playacar mexico 2 years ago and loved it. I know the riu palace in aruba is expensive but it's going to be our only foreign holiday instead of the normal two so may be able to splash out a bit. you cant beat the riu :sun2 :sun2

sutty939, we went to Aruba last year and had a walk up and around the RIU , it looks amazing with its moorish style of build, Aruba was deffo a great holiday for us, so flat ( no hills at all) and very friendly people, you are next door as well to the in place to be for beach life.
