For a number of years, the Nationwide Flex account VISA Debit Card and their Cirrus Cashcard have offered the best way of obtaining local currency from ATMs abroad.

While this has not changed for Flex account holders who have the VISA Debit Card, a change is underway for at least some of those who have the Cashcard version.
