Thanks, we did visit for a day when we were there in 2002 and found it to be lovely and laid back. Did all the trips on that holiday so will be doing absolutely nothing but relaxing this time round.

Hi all,
Weather not too bad today. Slightly breezy and some clouds.
We had a bit of rain on Monday night and on/off yesterday with a bit of a wind.
Looking a bit browner than we did before we left.
We are meeting up with you know who again tomorrow :rofl
I'll try and get Aslemma to pose for some pictures.

Having a brilliant time here at the Abou Sofiane. Everyone is delightfully pleasant and helpfull. I cant praise them enough. meeting lovely people too.
Home on Sunday :think If the volcano stays quiet?

Thanks friends. I'd like to say it's nice to be back but as the central heating went off over an hour ago and I'm sitting here freezing whilst going through my e-mails etc. that wouldn't be strictly true. :rofl

Im going to PEK on May 19th for a week. First time to Tunisia and Im very excited but I also have no idea what clothes to wear as I keep hearing so much conflicting views about what a young female can wear!!! Deciding what to pack is usually difficult anyway :rofl

Arrived home yesterday. Unpacked. Next time i'll know better.
2 pair of socks, 2 pair drawers, half dozen T-shirts and shorts. A pair of dress trousers and a good shirt in case you pull.
I plan to return and take a big Lidl bag.

Seriously though i'm a man :rofl so in your case being a young female i havent a clue. :whoops
My wife took 20k.
Take your own clothes, but remember its a Muslim country and respect their religion.http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-living-abroad/travel-advice-by-country/middle-east-north-africa/tunisia?ta=lawsCustoms&pg=3
This might be of interest.
This is just an ordinary holiday, enjoy.

Thank you for the link. We got some sad news today about a friend who has passed away so my Tunisian excitement has gone for now. Im going to miss the funeral but I would like to call home that day and speak to my friends that will attend the funeral, what is the cheapest way to do this? Thank you

Sorry to hear of the death of your friend. The cheapest way to phone home is to use the Taxi Phones which are plentiful in Tunisia and won't cost more than a couple of dinar (about £1) for a reasonable length phone call. They have a yellow sign outside and are simple to use, like our phone boxes. Remember that to phone the UK you need to dial 00 44 then omit the first 0 from the number. Do not use the hotel phones unless you've taken out a second mortgage as the cost can be astronomical. :yikes Unfortunately I don't think any of the 'add on' packages provided by mobile companies include calls to/from Tunisia which is why I have a Tunisian SIM card, but that isn't really worth getting if you are only going to the country once for a couple of weeks.

Thank you very much. :) I thought phone box would be the best way. I checked with my provider, 02, and nothing was mentioned in my package about Tunisia so Im assuming it costs alot lol
