It hadn't altered much up until last year but no-one really knows what changes there will be this year. Once the building work is complete it should look a lot smarter, that is the plan anyway! You will have to let us know what it looks like when you get back.

The workers and bar owners out in Marmaris have confirmed>>>

Albatros bar will reopen in its usual spot at the the Sunflower hotel next to Andys bar and black mirror. There may be a name change due to new regulations but that will be all that is different.

Aysha bar will reopen, it may or may not be the same spot but it will be on beachfront.

Captains bar is fully rebuilt now on beachfront.

Salt n Peppa should be ready start of June on beachfront.

In response to other questions, Baran bar is still standing and will reopen as usual for the summer. Also next to the newly rebuilt captains there is 2 newbars, one is called sherwoods but the other is unknown.

In other news the Mayor has ruled that all music must stop at midnight now on longbeach.....I seriously doubt the bar owners will adhere to this! :cheers

I don't think they'll have much choice if that's a rule the Mayor has made. Bars in Turkey cannot get away with not following the rules, they will probably get shut down if they ignore them!

I was just wondering if anyone knows if The Garden will be rebuilt and if not where are the staff/cook? My fave restaurant by far, mmmmmm the chicken shish kebabs yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy!

Music was always meant to stop at 1am but that has never happened on longbeach and don't see it starting now. The mayor could only knock down the buildings that were built without planning permission however he was over ruled by a court and is now just trying to cause problems for the bars that are rebuilding. From the bar managers and workers I know, it will be a 4am stop as normal :cheers

Got to agree with you the Garden was one of the best even after Husseyn left to go to the Taj. Haven't heard if it's been rebuilt, you would have thought someone would have mentioned it.

It does seem weird no-one has mentioned the Garden..... maybe Hussain will know when we get there..... as it would be rude not to pay a visit to the Taj!

the garden did fab meals and was just a fun night in there x and they did fantastic black russians lol!!!

will surely miss it this year x

Some places have only just decided in the last week to reopen and try and rebuild so you never know!!

I am on the Garden Restaurant page on Facebook and someone is writing that there is a new Garden Restaurant in Icmeler. I think you need to try it out and let us know what its like. haha. Myra x

I came back from marmaris last week after spending 3 weeks there, we went down onto longbeach a few nights.. theres a new club called VIP, and we did notice that at midnight all the clubs were having to turn the music right down and close the doors, police were then riding backwards and forwards on mopeds checking that these places were adhering to the new rules.

there was also building work still going on, but from what we could make out it was just being carried out during the night, i did not see barran bar, could be wrong, but im sure its been knocked down, along with one of my favourite little restaurants triannas on the beach front..
